Well, it's an old debate, that will likely continue until the end of time. 9 VS. 45, 5.56 VS. 7.62, 6.8 VS. 300BLK........We will stick to Pistol for this purpose. What inspired me today was a story I recently read about an old WWII Vet. who had his house broken into for the third time and put down the intruder with one well placed shot to the chest with a .22 rifle.
Now, don't get me wrong, I do think there are better options for carry, or defense in general then a .22 caliber. ( I carry 9mm Myself) What I want to stress here, is that all the macho arguing in the world about caliber, means nothing if you can't hit your intended target.
Get out and practice, make that trip to the range count. Sometimes it's hard to do, let's face it, shooting is fun, and it's easy (And expensive these day's) to just go out there and let them bullets fly!
Get yourself a COF (Course of fire) and take your time and make it count!
